Role overview:
As a Senior Backend & Algorithm Engineer, you will lead backend development and algorithm design at the forefront of circadian science and technology. Working closely with two of Timeshifter’s co-founders — world-renowned circadian expert Dr. Steven W. Lockley and CXO Jacob Ravn — you will enhance Timeshifter’s cutting-edge technology platform and circadian algorithms, expand AI/ML capabilities, and manage technical integrations.
You will:
Advance Timeshifter’s circadian technology platform, develop and refine algorithms, drive AI integration, improve APIs, and manage technical partner integrations.
Collaborate with Dr. Steven W. Lockley, a world-renowned expert in circadian neuroscience with over 30 years of groundbreaking research, including work with NASA. Dr. Lockley recently left Harvard Medical School to join Timeshifter full-time to translate his expertise into revolutionary technology.
This is a pivotal role that directly impacts millions of lives by redefining how circadian science addresses health, safety, and performance challenges.

Requirements:
Strong experience in backend development, algorithms, and AI.
Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS, React-Native, REST API, Swagger, PostgreSQL, and AI technologies.
Experienced in good software design and practices.
Preferred skills:
Familiarity with ReactJS, SQL, Linux and embedded systems, as well as AWS and Kubernetes.
